I’m Courtney Blair, an adventure elopement photographer who believes in fostering a collaborative environment by providing the follow-through and tips to top it all off (in addition to the mountaintop views) that naturally lead to the nature-inspired imagery that brought you here. But this time, it’ll be rooted in your connection, and framed by a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Honest connection and an unforgettable experience await. I don’t mind if there’s 40 guests hopping onto the gondola at the local ski resort, bundled up with anticipation for a mountaintop ceremony, or if it’s just the two of you and your dog (the best man, if we’re being specific). What matters most is that we create a comfortable, connected experience immersed in the striking beauty of the outdoors.
And yet, it seems as if the standard is to squeeze your love story and its celebration into some outdated, impersonal production that requires opinions you don’t even have — like who should sit next to each other at the reception you’re already dreading the thought of.
That’s why I help couples merge their wedding with a personalized adventure that prioritizes their love above all else. No need to limit your wedding to the confines of tradition or location. We’ll unleash the possibilities, capturing what you actually care about, without pretense.
The priority is straightforward — fearlessly and honestly documenting your story. Mutually inclusive of all loves, and adventure.
She was so flexible ... That alone meant so much to us! When we got to the engagement photo session she instantly had a warm and bubbly personality. She did an amazing job coaching us through poses and making sure we got some good laughs in. She wasn't afraid to take us on a walk through nature to get just the right picture! We loved it. The pictures turned out amazing…We couldn't have asked [for] more… She was on top of it the entire time and guided us through so much… She later sent the photos for us to review and I almost started crying again. She captured every moment perfectly!”
What can I say about Courtney!?
She offered so much help, and I felt like I could turn to her with whatever I needed... We had some unpredictable weather during one of our shoots and she was a champ throughout it and the photos turned out unbelievably great. I was so impressed with … how much she clearly cared about her work. She is so creative, and her photos never disappoint. I absolutely love all of her work, and I know if we need any other photos taken for us, Courtney will be the one we turn to first! I would recommend her to absolutely anyone.”
She gave us great prompts and poses and was just so easy to work with. Our photos turned out beautiful and they are exactly what we wanted! If I had to do everything over again I would book with Courtney every time.”
Are you ready for it? A dog-loving, outdoorsy girl born in Georgia, with a belief that cold weather > warm weather any day, I packed up my books and collection of The Office (okay, it was digital, but it’d be safely packed up in my suitcase if not!) and moved to Utah so I could call the mountains my neighborhood. I also travel to Alaska as often as possible (I will be spending the summer of 2024 here) — it’s my second home if there is one. I received my bachelor’s degree in photography in 2016, but the camera and I have been tight since middle school.
Adventure and travel have always been the endgame for me — it makes you feel small in the best way. While I feel the most peace when I’m soaking up the outdoors, chasing after creative pursuits has always given me a similar sense of being transported. It’s no wonder that my photography business evolved into elopements, blending my love for creativity and my inherent need to explore the world.
I love the contrast in my life — equally fueled by connecting with couples across the world, and chilling at home with my husband and our blue heeler, Willow, sitting on our deck with a good book in hand and Taylor Swift on repeat (self-proclaimed Swiftie since I first heard “Tim McGraw”).
“Why don’t you just do what you want to?” This was the question my dad asked me, and the question I ask my couples to this day. He was an adventurous spirit and an entrepreneur, the person who brought a trash bag with him when he went down to the lake — leaving no trace before it was even a thing.
When others discouraged a career in photography, he stood up for my passion. He’s the reason I chased after this life, and he’s the one I don’t have around anymore to see what’s resulted. His photographs are all that I have left. One of our last conversations on the phone was about how I should be pursuing wedding photography. He’s the why behind everything here. He died by suicide so mental health is incredibly important to me!
