Jenna and Thomas had the most charming backyard Mount Shasta California wedding at her grandparent’s home. I am friends with Jenna because she’s one of my best friend’s cousins. I was so happy when she asked me to travel to Mount Shasta, California for her wedding, which was originally planned for June 2020. Unfortunately, the couple decided to postpone due to covid, but everything turned out so great anyways! Jenna, Thomas, and her family are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I arrived before my airbnb was ready so they allowed me to camp on their beautiful, charming property for a night. I completely fell in love with Mount Shasta, California. The mountain and views are gorgeous, the people are so friendly, and there are endless hikes and waterfalls to see there.
I begged Jenna to let me take some formals of her and Thomas at sunrise the day before their wedding. So- we woke up at 4:00 am to hike to Heart Lake in Mount Shasta. We were the first ones up there right at sunrise, which was absolutely amazing. We hiked around and explored the beautiful wildflower fields, vistas, and watched my dog, Willow, swim after ducks hahaha! Her brother is a videographer so he joined us and took the coolest drone footage of Jenna and Thomas.
On the day of their wedding, Jenna got ready in a cute lakefront cabin a few miles away from her grandparent’s house alone. She was the chillest bride of all time! Many tears were shed as Jenna walked down the boat dock aisle as her dad walked her down to Thomas. They said their sweet vows on the dock as her grandpa officiated. Afterwards, we took a boat out to take some photos of them with Mount Shasta glowing in the background.
Jenna and Thomas’ reception was quaint with about 30-40 guests. They had an amazing dinner, yard games, and dancing before they finished the night with a sparkler exit.
