Albion Basin Bridals | Little Cottonwood Canyon

I was so excited to take Mickey and Taylor’s bridals at Albion Basin in Little Cottonwood Canyon during peak wildflower season. We decided to meet for sunrise because it can be super crowded in the evenings. I was so excited to meet Mickey and Taylor as they are super into film and felt really connected to my work and the storytelling they felt looking through my portfolio! I’ve really enjoyed getting to meet this amazing couple and listening to their story.

How Can I Do a Bridal or Formal Session at Albion Basin?

If you’re wanting your bridals or formals session at Albion Basin, you no longer need a permit as of July 2022, however, I would double check before you decide to take photos there. Albion Basin is known for having some of the most amazing wildflowers in Utah. Albion Basin is really delicate so please do not trample or step on the flowers or get off the trail. I follow all Leave No Trace policies when taking photos in the wilderness.

Where is Albion Basin?

Albion Basin is located up Little Cottonwood Canyon past all of the ski resorts. You can either hike from the bottom parking lot, which is located before the toll both, or you can park at Catherine’s Pass Trailhead. There is a toll booth, which is $10 per vehicle. I highly recommend considering a sunrise session vs sunset because the parking lots can fill up and they don’t allow more cars past the toll booth.
