Harris County Courthouse Wedding

I traveled to Houston, Texas for Jossie and Michael’s Harris County Courthouse wedding. I was lucky to meet this super sweet couple when they traveled to Park City, Utah (where I live) and got engaged. Michael had reached out to me to photograph their proposal at Empire Pass. The proposal went great and they loved their photos so much that when they started to plan their intimate wedding in downtown Houston, they asked me to be their wedding photographer!

They planned this entire wedding in about two months with the help of R + M Weddings and it turned out absolutely stunning (just see the photos…can you believe it was only 2 months!?) When they first inquired, they know that wanted to have a Harris County Courthouse wedding. It’s a beautiful, historic courthouse located downtown that Jossie’s parents actually got married at 30+ years earlier. Afterwards, they had an intimate reception in the backyard of Michael’s parent’s home. They planned their wedding so quickly because Michael’s parent’s were selling their home the following week hahaha 🙂

When I arrived on their wedding day, we did details photos and then getting ready photos at the Four Seasons. I loved their clean and simple wedding day details and Jossie’s dress was so cool!! They decided to have a first look, which we did at the hotel pool before heading to the courthouse. The weather ended up being absolutely beautiful. They got married in early February and it felt like spring (which was so amazing coming from the cold Utah winter haha).

After their wedding ceremony at Harris County Courthouse, we took some photos before arriving to the reception. Their reception was super fun with lots of dancing and they brought out some fun party glasses at the end. I’m so glad that I started off 2023 with Jossie and Michael in their hometown 🙂
