One of my absolute favorite things in the world is when couples choose to have a sunrise elopement in a place like Arches National Park, which is exactly what Lissett and Vince chose to do on this chilly May morning. I am a morning lover (especially in the desert) for many reasons. Mornings are generally less crowded, cooler, and give you an excuse to have all day to explore the many red rock formations and arches after (plus naps are always nice)! The bride and groom, from Fresno, actually got engaged in Arches a couple of years ago and they knew this is where they wanted to come for their wedding day.
Because look at these photos…..but in all seriousness:
Arches is located in Moab, Utah, which is about 4 hours southeast of Salt Lake City. Moab is an amazing destination for your elopement. In Moab, there is also Canyonlands National Park to explore or take photos in!
You will need to obtain a permit in order to elope in Arches National Park. To look into more details about getting a permit, check out this post. It is important to respect the permits that the park requires so we can continue using these beautiful public lands for weddings!
