Knik Glacier Helicopter Elopement

Join Chase, Amanda, their immediate families, and I for their beautiful Knik Glacier helicopter elopement in Alaska! We started the day with a first look at their super cute airbnb on Jewel Lake in Anchorage before driving to the Knik River for their ceremony surrounded by their immediate families. Then Chase, Amanda, and I hopped on a helicopter to make a few stops near and on the Knik Glacier for the most EPIC photos ever!! We soaked in the incredible views and the amazing weather in two locations before heading off to meet their families for dinner at the Crow’s Nest in Anchorage 🙂

Imagine standing on the edge of a glacier, surrounded by the pristine beauty of Alaska as you vow to love and cherish your partner forever. That’s the magic of a Knik Glacier helicopter elopement. In this article, we will guide you through all the essential steps to plan the perfect aerial wedding in one of the most breathtaking settings on earth.

Are you ready to make your dream elopement a reality? Let’s dive into the details of planning your unforgettable Knik Glacier helicopter wedding.

Choosing the Right Time of Year

Choosing the right time of year for your Knik Glacier helicopter elopement is crucial in ensuring you have the best experience possible. The weather conditions and scenery can vary greatly depending on the season, so it’s important to consider what kind of backdrop you want for your special day.

As you plan your elopement, keep in mind that summer months may be busier than others, so booking in advance is essential. Consider factors such as the average temperature, precipitation levels, and daylight hours during different months to determine which season aligns best with your vision.

Advantages to each season:

Winter

Spring

Summer

Fall

Choosing a Helicopter Company

When it comes to choosing a helicopter company for your Knik Glacier elopement, there are a few key factors to consider. First and foremost, you’ll want to ensure that the company is reputable and experienced.

Additionally, it’s important to communicate your specific needs and desires with the helicopter company to ensure they can accommodate your vision for the day. Whether you want to land on a glacier for your ceremony or take a scenic flight around the area, make sure the company is able to make your dreams a reality.

Cost is another consideration when choosing a helicopter company. While you don’t want to sacrifice quality for a lower price, it’s important to find a company that fits within your budget. Be sure to inquire about package options and any additional fees that may be associated with your elopement.

Here are some helicopter companies I recommend:

Creating a Seamless Itinerary

When crafting your helicopter elopement itinerary, it’s crucial to consider the logistics of the day. Coordinate with your helicopter company to establish pick-up and drop-off times, as well as any potential locations for your ceremony and photoshoot. Factor in travel time between destinations to ensure a smooth flow throughout the day.

Incorporate leisurely breaks in your itinerary to soak in the breathtaking scenery and truly savor the moment. Whether it’s a quiet moment on a glacier or a scenic stop for a champagne toast, these pauses can add an extra layer of romance and intimacy to your elopement experience 🙂
