Stefanie and Josh’s beautiful Double Arch intimate elopement belongs in the Louvre. Truly. From the stunning details and their personal, heartfelt vows to the insane landscape that Moab generously shows off, every part of the day felt like pure magic. Photographing it was an absolute dream.
We began the day at their super cute Airbnb on the south side of town. They got ready separately, intentionally building the anticipation for their first look. As they finished writing their vows, I started photographing flat lays with all of their colorful, meaningful details.
Your wedding day details are the small pieces that tell the bigger story of your love. They’re the textures, colors, heirlooms, and intentional choices that reflect who you are as a couple. Whether it’s a hand-written vow book, a vintage ring passed down from family, bold florals, custom jewelry, or even the scent you chose for the day, each item contributes to the emotional memory of your wedding.
Flat lay photos preserve that story.
They:
✨ Capture the aesthetic you crafted
✨ Highlight sentimental items you might otherwise forget to document
✨ Provide beautiful imagery for albums and announcements
✨ Create a visual time capsule of your day’s vibe and personality
Including flat lays in your elopement ensures that even the quiet, intimate pieces of your story are never overlooked.
Next up was their first look. Stefanie walked down the outside spiral staircase to meet Josh at the bottom of the steps, and it was the sweetest moment full of emotion, relief, excitement, and joy. I’m so grateful I got to witness it!
With hearts full and bags packed, we headed into Arches National Park for their Double Arch intimate elopement—truly one of the most breathtaking places you could ever choose to say “I do.”
We spent the afternoon exploring Arches, stopping at some of my favorite locations throughout the park. After wandering the park, we enjoyed a picnic near the visitors center. A storm was rolling in, and I was so excited for the possibility of a dramatic desert sky for sunset (and Stefanie and Josh were too!)
For sunset photos, we drove to Dead Horse Point State Park. And just as we hoped, the desert storm rolled through at the perfect moment, painting the sky with dark purples, vibrant pinks, and fiery reds. It was the kind of sunset you never forget and one that left all of us completely speechless.
We ran around, laughed, soaked in the wind and color, and truly had the best time. It was the perfect ending to a perfect elopement day.
If you’re dreaming of a romantic, adventurous, and beautifully intimate experience, a Double Arch intimate elopement in Moab might just be the perfect choice. And if you want it documented with intention, artistry, and heart then I’d love to photograph it.
