Camren and Ryan’s Halfway House elopement on Flagstaff Mountain in Boulder, Colorado took place on a beautiful weekday in May. They traveled all the way from western Texas to Colorado to elope. They wanted to experience and be immersed in the beauty of the mountains that Colorado provides. It was Ryan’s first time ever in Colorado and he fell in love with it! I met up with the bride and groom at their hotel just outside of Boulder. I picked up Camren and we went to the Flatiron Trailhead to take some pre-ceremony photos, including a first look 🙂 We spent about an hour taking photos here and the weather felt absolutely amazing!! Then we drove up to the Halfway House where their parents and son met up with us for their ceremony there. We then went to the top of Flagstaff Mountain for sunset (and lantern) photos with one of the prettiest views!

What is Halfway House at Flagstaff Mountain?

The Halfway House at Flagstaff Mountain makes an incredible location for your elopement! It is located just a few minutes away from downtown Boulder, CO. It is owned by the city and is available to rent for events and groups. Up to 49 people are allowed to rent the stone building and the rental fee for 3 hours is $275 for non-residents or $175 for residents of Boulder (pretty inexpensive wedding venue fee)!

How to Elope at the Halfway House

To elope at the Halfway House, you need to do is reserve it using this link. You will go and pick up the key the day of the wedding and return it that same day. To legally get married in the state of Colorado, all you need is a marriage license from the county clerk’s office. You are not required to have any witnesses at your wedding (your dog could even be a witness if you want hahaha). And in CO, you are allowed to self-solemnize your wedding.
