Capturing Wilderness Romance: Girdwood, Alaska Hiking Engagement Photos

Imagine standing at the edge of a snow-capped peak and a glacier, enveloped in the serene beauty of Girdwood for your hiking engagement photos. Danika and Connor (along with their dog, Ginger) decided they wanted to do something a little more adventurous than what’s standard for their engagement session so we chose one of my favorite hikes that leads to a glacier in Girdwood. We met up in town and drove the dirt road to get to the trailhead. We began the 6 mile roundtrip hike on a beautiful, typically cloudy Alaskan day. When we got to the first location, it was super cold and windy, but we all powered through to get the most beautiful photos in front of the glacier. The tundra is slowly starting to turn into fall foliage so it was special getting to be up there right before everything changes.
