Juneau, Alaska Helicopter Elopement

When you think of eloping in Alaska, it’s hard to imagine anything more unforgettable than flying to a glacier to say your vows. Haley and Shaun’s Juneau, Alaska helicopter elopement was the kind of day that felt like something out of a dream—rugged, intimate, and deeply personal.

We started the day in downtown Juneau, where I met them off their cruise ship. They were ready to be taken to the heliport to start the day’s big adventure 🙂

Soaring Above Alaska’s Glaciers

With their vows safely tucked into Shaun’s jacket pocket, we lifted off over alpine peaks and sweeping ice fields. The helicopter dropped us onto a remote glacier—miles from anyone else, with nothing but mountains and silence all around.

There’s something so grounding about being in a place so wild and untouched. Haley and Shaun stood side by side, reading personal vows that had everyone (myself included) tearing up behind the camera. The wind echoed their words across the ice, and they sealed it all with a kiss as the mountains stood witness.

Exploring the Ice

After the ceremony, we explored the glacier—carefully walking across frozen blue crevasses and snow-covered ridges. They danced. They laughed. At one point, Shaun lifted Haley off her feet in pure joy, and it felt like time stood still. It was the kind of love you feel more than you see.
